About Rakuten Membership & Account

Shopping is a breeze when you register as a Rakuten member! Every time you shop, you will gain Rakuten Points (1 point per 100 JPY). The accumulated points can be used for shopping with 1 point counting as 1 JPY.

▼How to Cancel Rakuten Membership
We are sorry to hear about your decision to close your account. If there is anything we can do to improve our services, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please be aware that once you cancel your membership the following conditions will apply:
- You will no longer be able to use any Rakuten services for the account. - All unused Rakuten Points will be deleted. - Until your request has been fully processed, you may still receive newsletter from Rakuten. - All information related to your account will be deleted, including purchase and point history.

▼Stay signed in to your Rakuten account
On devices where you have checked the 'stay signed in' checkbox, you can stay signed in to your Rakuten account for a period of time. The next time you use the same device, you can use selected services without entering your username/email and password.

To stay signed in to your Rakuten account, check the 'Stay signed in' checkbox on the login screen, and enter your username/email and password to sign in.
Please note that this function is only available for some services.

Even if you have checked the 'Stay signed in' checkbox, you may still be asked to sign in if necessary.
We may forcibly remove your login status in certain situations, such as if we suspect the possibility of unauthorized login. We seek your kind understanding.

If you are using a shared computer or another person's device, do not check the 'stay signed in' checkbox. Instead, please follow the instructions below to browsing in Private Mode of your browser to sign in to your account.

To sign out
You will be signed out of your account when you click the 'sign out' button or when your login session ends.

 

▼Browsing in Private Mode
If you are using a device that can be accessed by other people (e.g., a public PC in schools, offices, internet cafes, libraries, etc., or a communal computer or smartphone shared among family members), please log in to your account using private mode.
When you log in to your account using private mode, please remember to log out or close the relevant windows after using the service.
If you remain logged in to your account, there is a risk that your registered personal information may be viewed and used.

※If you have questions about how to use your browser's private mode or other browser settings, please refer to your browser's help page or contact their customer service.

※If you log in to your account using a smartphone app (e.g., any Rakuten app, LINE, Facebook, X, Instagram, etc.), your information will be displayed in the in-app browser. In this case, you will not be able to use private mode, so we recommend using Chrome or Safari instead.

 

▼Login alert function
The login alert function is an email service that notifies you of any suspicious activities when a login has been detected in your Rakuten account. With this functionality, you will immediately know if a third party has attempted to use your Rakuten ID in order to access your Rakuten account information without authorization.

The login alert function will automatically send a notification email to your registered email address when your Rakuten ID has been used to access your Rakuten account from a new location. This function is available for all Rakuten members.  

The login alert function login notification email will be sent with the following email title and email address.


■Email Title 
[楽天] ログイン通知 / Login Notification (YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM JST(GMT+ 09:00))

■Sender Address 
no-reply@id.rakuten.co.jp

The notification email will contain the following information:

■Login Information
・Date and Time of Login: YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM JST(GMT+ 09:00)
・IP Address: XXX.XXX.XX.XX
・Location: Country Name 

※It may not be possible to determine the location of some IP addresses. In such cases, only the login date and time and IP address will be displayed.

If you did not attempt to sign in to your Rakuten account, we recommend that you reset your password.

Please note that you will no longer be able to opt-in or out of receiving login alerts on the My Rakuten Account Management page.


※The purpose of the login alert function is to strengthen the security of your Rakuten account, so you will not be able to opt-out of receiving the login alerts.

※If a period of time has passed since you've last signed in to your Rakuten account, you may receive a notification email even if you're signing in from your usual location.

※For the security of your Rakuten account, you may be asked to provide additional login information (e.g. one-time password, your date of birth etc.) when you sign in to your Rakuten account. In such cases, you will still receive a notification email even if you're signing in from your usual location.

※If you use a service that periodically signs you in to your Rakuten account automatically to retrieve information (e.g. household expenses services etc.), you may receive a notification email even if you haven't signed in to your Rakuten account.

 

▼What to do when a 2D barcode (QR) is displayed during Easy Login (signing in using biometrics)

To ensure that login failures do not occur, Easy Login (biometrics) has been improved so that you can still use it to sign in even with a device that does not support it (hereinafter referred to as to as 'unsupported device'). 
The following 2D barcode (QR) will be displayed on the screen when you try to use Easy Login on an unsupported device.

If you have a device that has already been registered for Easy Login (hereinafter referred to as to as 'registered device') and want to use it to sign in, you can do so via either of the two methods below:
1. Use your registered device's camera to read the displayed 2D barcode (QR) to sign in. 
2. Send the URL on the 2D barcode (QR) to a registered device with one of the following ways to access and sign in using the registered terminal.
(1) PC: Right-click the 2D barcode (QR), copy the URL, paste it into an email etc., and send it to the registered device.
(2) Smartphone: Long-press the 2D barcode (QR), copy the URL, paste it into an email etc., and send it to the registered device.

 

▼Email Verification
Email verification is the process of checking and verifying the validity of an email address. We do this by sending you an email with a verification code. Once you enter the code on the verification page, your email address will be marked as verified. Email verification provides an additional layer of security for your Rakuten account by reducing the risk of fraud. You also no longer have to worry about being accidentally locked out of your accounts due to having invalid login credentials. With accurate email data, we can also ensure that we are interacting with real users and that our emails are reaching you.
▼How will this affect me?
Email verification will be implemented in the following cases:
※For selected services only

2、Login (for unverified email addresses)

▼Verification status
You can check your email address' verification status on the 'Account and Security' page in the My Rakuten Account Management portal.
・Not verified: Your email address hasn't been verified.
※It takes time before we can display the email verification status.
・Verified: Your email address has been successfully verified.
▼Verification code email
Your verification code will be sent from one of the following email addresses:
・Rakuten ID[confirm-noreply@rakuten.co.jp]
・Rakuten ID[confirm-noreply@account.rakuten.com]
▼I didn't receive the verification code
・Member registration/Changing email address
If you didn't receive the verification code, please check your spam folder. If you find nothing, please try resending the verification code by clicking the 'Send it again' link.If you still cannot find the verification code, you might have entered an invalid email address. In this case, please try registering with a valid email address.

・Login
If you see the 'Skip to sign in' link on the verification page, you can click on it to skip email verification and sign in to your account.If you didn't receive the verification code, please check your spam folder. If you find nothing, please try resending the verification code by clicking the 'Send it again' link.If you still cannot find the verification code, you might have registered with an invalid email address. In this case, please change your email address (see next).
▼I want to change my email address
Please go to the 'Account and Security' page in the My Rakuten Account Management portal to change your email address. If you click on the 'Skip to sign in' link on the verification page, you can skip the skip the email verification process to sign in to the My Rakuten Account Management portal.
▼I registered with a wrong email address
If you've registered with a wrong email address, please change your email address. Please check how to do so in the section above.

・Not contain spaces, full-width characters, or any other invalid characters (e.g., ñ, ¿, Å, etc.)
・Contain at least one English uppercase letter (e.g., A, B, etc.)

・Contain at least one valid half-width symbols (Available symbols are ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + '} { ' [ ] \ ? :" ; ', . / = -)
・Not be a password that you have used before
